If you are looking to lose a little Junk in the Trunk, the REAPS giant sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CN Centre parking lot might be the way to go. Held twice a year, this popular event offers a great way to recycle used items by passing them along as new-to-you treasures.

Participants can register their Junk in the Trunk attendance and when they arrive at CN Centre they will be directed to their two designated parking spots, one for their car and the other directly behind it will be where set up takes place and participants can use tables and chairs, tents or whatever they need to put their wares on display. Set up is from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. and volunteers with high visibility vests will direct vendors to their stalls.

“This is a great opportunity for people to do some early cleaning in preparation for the holiday season so get rid of your old stuff and find some new treasures,” said Terri McClymont, executive director for REAPS, the Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society of Prince George that is in partnership with the Regional District of Fraser Fort George for this event.

When the sale is complete at 1 p.m. AiMHi, a local non-profit organization that provides advocacy, supports and services to people who have special needs and their families, will then be available to take donations of any unsold items vendors may have.

David’s Tea will be on location and there will be a port-a-potty available on site.

Vendors must register by email at or call 250-561-7327. $10 per stall to be collected on the day of event after set up. There are only 150 stalls available.
