Pedestrian hit by vehicle this week dies of injuries

The 24-year-old Prince George man who was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Voyageur Street earlier this week has died in hospital, Prince George RCMP said in a statement issued Wednesday evening.

Police, who were called to the scene at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, are continuing to investigate.

“Alcohol was not a contributing factor and the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation,” the RCMP said in a statement.

The name of the man, who was rushed to hospital following the incident, was not released.
