Morrison back in time for playoffs

Brad Morrison was out practicing Wednesday morning as the Prince George Cougars’ fourth-line centre.

But don’t be at all surprised if the 19-year-old veteran moves up the depth chart when it comes time to face the Portland Winterhawks. After missing nearly a month with a high-ankle sprain when he fell to the ice during a fight with Edmonton Oil Kings winger Davis Murray on Feb. 24, Morrison is healthy again. That couldn’t come at a better time for the Cougars, who are going to need all their weapons to get through a tough opponent in the first round of the WHL playoffs.
