Borrowing jumps this year

In total, the B.C. government will borrow $5.4 billion in 2017-18, a sizable increase of $1.9 billion over 2016-17. It expects borrowing requirements to climb higher still to $7.2 billion in 2018-19 and $7.4 billion in 2019-20.
