Poppy campaign

The Royal Canadian Legion’s poppy campaign is underway. Betty Parson, member of Branch 43 of the Legion, sells poppies in Pine Centre Mall on Friday morning. Members of the Legion, as well as local dignitaries, were on hand at Pine Centre Mall Friday morning to launch the campaign. All of the money from poppy sales goes to help veterans and their families. It is also the Legion’s largest fund raising activity of the year.
