Charity and bodychecks will be under the same roof this afternoon when the Cariboo Cougars take on the South Island Royals at Kin 1.

The Cougars, in first place in the 11-team B.C. Hockey Major Midget League, are holding their annual Pink in the Rink fundraiser. Admission to the game, which starts at 4 p.m., will be by donation. Money raised at the door and inside the arena will go toward breast cancer research, under the umbrella of the Canadian Cancer Society and the CIBC Run for the Cure.

For the special day, the Prince George Cougars have offered up their Fanboni, and mascot Rowdy Cat will also be on hand.

The Cougars (7-2-1) will be wearing pink for the game and will be trying to push a winning streak to seven. The Royals, meanwhile, will be seeking their first victory of the season.

The teams will also clash on Sunday at 10 a.m.
