Singers competed in annual music fest
The Prince George and District Music Festival finished its 67th annual competition, early this week. The Citizen is providing the results as they are made available.
The Strings and Piano categories have already been published and today we celebrate the Gold Seal winners in the Vocal and Choral categories, as determined by adjudicator Catherine Robbins.
The festival will officially conclude on Saturday with the customary grand finale. This comes courtesy of two great concerts at Vanier Hall.
“These concerts feature the most outstanding performances, as selected by our adjudicators during the festival,” said festival spokesperson Gina Bialuski.
The Showcase Recital at 5:30 p.m. consists of the best junior performers. Admission is free.
The Gala Concert at 8 p.m. features notable performances from all levels and disciplines. Gala tickets are available at Studio 2880 and at the door.
