Wendling elected new Chamber president

The Prince George Chamber of Commerce has elected its board of directors for 2018-19.

Lorna Wendling of Deloitte is the president, Bill Quinn of NuStride Executive Coaching is the vice president of finance, Frankie Albano of TBJ LLP is a vice president, Peter Sia of Northland Nissan and Hyundai is a vice president and Corey Naphtali of KPMG is past president.

“As the incoming president, I am thrilled to see such diversity and breadth of experience leading the Chamber forward,” Wendling said. “We have a highly motivated and experienced team that will hit the ground running.”

Four new directors were elected: Cathy Mackay of EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc., Cheryl Stewart of the Prince George Citizen, Mark McVey of Team Powerhouse Realty and Terry Thiara of Lithium One/Rippl.

Continuing as directors are Kallie Smith of Aboriginal Business Development Centre, Kara Biles of Canfor, Kiel Giddens of TransCanada, Kyle Sampson of Pacific Western Brewing Company, Ray Noonan of Scotiabank and Roberta Stewart of Heather Sadler Jenkins.

They were elected Tuesday during the chamber’s annual general meeting.

“This election represents a change for the Chamber. With new incoming board members, the Chamber is excited to get to work on developing a new strategic plan, mission and vision,” chief executive officer Todd Corrigall said.

Cindi Pohl steps down from past president and will now be on the board of governors.
