Home invasion suspect faces charges

- Citizen staff

A Prince George man faces seven charges from what police are calling a drug-related home invasion.

Zacharie Xavier Bock, 31, remained in custody as of Friday on three counts of robbery with a firearm, two counts of pointing a firearm and one count each of break and enter and committing an indictable offence and using a firearm in the commission of an offence.

He had originally faced 13 charges but the number was reduced on new information.

Bock was arrested after RCMP were called to a Davis Road home on Wednesday just before midnight.

Told someone had been shot, “multiple police officers responded immediately,” RCMP said. A woman was found injured but no one was found to have been shot and masked suspects had fled before police were called, making off with televisions, laptop computers, bicycles and jewelry.

The investigation led police to a Lisgar Crescent home where a loaded firearm was seized and most of the stolen property was recovered.

A 42-year-old woman from Takla Landing was also arrested and released on a promise to appear for court on Nov. 28. There are a number of conditions to the release including not to have any contact with the victims, police said.

“This was a targeted attack related to the drug trade,” RCMP said, adding that some of the people involved are known to each other. The investigation is continuing.
