Squatter camps torched in Stanley Park arson
Three squatter camps were torched in Vancouver’s Stanley Park on Thursday morning.
Capt. Gabe Roder of the Vancouver Fire Department said firefighters were called to the Rawlings and Lees trails, near Stanley Park Drive, at 11:30 a.m.
Roder said firefighters quickly controlled the blazes, which engulfed tents, tarps and belongings. One of the fires led to a propane canister explosion. No one was injured.
Firefighters suspect arson.
