Fruity cocktail with tequila twist
Iwas introduced to this incredibly tasty cocktail just after the new year and couldn’t wait to share it with
Province readers. Sometimes in life you only get one last chance, but this cocktail you can enjoy over and over again. It has a balance of sweet and sour flavours mixed with fruity notes of apricot and exotic gold tequila. This year you may find yourself having more than one “last chance.”
Last Chance
Ingredients: 1.5 oz. Sauza Gold Tequila 0.5 oz. Bols Apricot Brandy 1 oz. fresh lime juice 2 Tsps. of liquid honey
Method: Pour all ingredients in a shaker tin filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime peel twist.
Tips: Liquid honey adds a different sweetness from raw sugar and won’t leave a gritty feel from the fine sugar granules.
The twist of lime over top releases citrus oils and adds a fresh aroma over the drink.
