Sunday’s four big games

-

1. MINNESOTA VIKINGS (10-5) AT GREEN BAY PACKERS (10-5)

Adrian Peterson needs a big game on the ground to help out QB Teddy Bridgewater. Also, the Vikings pass rush needs to bring its A-game, to unsettle Aaron Rodgers or this could be another Green Bay blowout win, like last month’s. Winner takes NFC North crown, loser is in playoffs as a wild card.

2. NEW YORK JETS (10-5) AT BUFFALO BILLS (7-8)

The ex-Jets head coach (Rex Ryan) against the Jets. The ex-Bills head coach (Chan Gailey) against the Bills. Plus the Ryan Fitzpatrick angle. And a playoff berth on the line for the Jets. All that could sweeten this melodrama is if Fitz gets hurt, meaning Geno Smith would play against the guy who smashed his jaw in August: ex-Jets and now Bills backup LB IK Enemkpali.

3. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (9-6) AT CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-12)

After choking last week in Baltimore (let’s call it what it was), the Steelers must beat the Browns to retain any hope of reaching the postseason. And there’s no good reason the Steelers shouldn’t annihilate the Browns. Forlorn hope Johnny Manziel is out (concussion), leaving fivelorn hope Austin Davis.

4. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (9-6) AT ARIZONA CARDINALS (13-2)

There could be plenty of meaning for both NFC West teams, even though the Cards already have the division title wrapped up. If Carolina loses earlier in the afternoon, the Cards can capture the No. 1 playoff seed. The Seahawks, with a win, could wind up with the No. 5 seed and play at No. 4 Washington. Lose and they’re for sure No. 6.
