LI HEADED BACK TO OLYMPIC COURT IN RIO

TORONTO — Michelle Li, a fourthplace finisher at the 2012 London Games, and Martin Giuffre will represent Canada in badminton at the Rio Olympics.

Li is Canada’s most successful female player. She is ranked No. 19 in the world, is the reigning Canadian champion plus a Pan Am Games and Commonwealth Games champion.

The 24-year-old from Markham, Ont., finished fourth in London in women’s doubles with former partner Alex Bruce.

Giuffre, from Calgary, is ranked No. 76 in the world.
