Trump understands lowering taxes creates wealth
Re: Clinton won first U.S. presidential debate, Letters, Sept. 28
I agree with letter writer George Pearson that Hillary Clinton looked better than Donald Trump during the first U.S. presidential debate, but that was with partisan help from the moderator Lester Holt, who asked him leading questions numerous times while sparing Clinton — who was mouthing her well-rehearsed Trump attacks — from his cross-examination. It also seemed that Trump was somewhat under the weather, while Clinton wore an unnatural smirking smile throughout the debate.
Trump knows that wealth is created by lowering taxes to attract investors and by reducing regulations to allow entrepreneurs to flourish, and not by raising taxes and government spending as promoted by Clinton.
Irrespective of how Trump managed his tax reporting, his business enterprises have created billions of dollars in economic activity and tens of thousands of jobs. Clinton, like President Barack Obama, is a Saul Alinsky socialist, who has created a base of entitlement supporters in the U.S. using, not creating, taxpayer funds. Trump can change the direction of U.S. politics from globalist socialism to constitutional conservatism giving ample freedom to American citizens to pursue their life, liberty and happiness.
