Fight for hotel repairs

Re: Regent Hotel tenant demands repairs, Sept. 27

Cheers to Jack Gates for his efforts to keep warm this winter in the Regent Hotel. He speaks not only for himself, but for the other tenants in the Downtown Eastside hotel.

I hope the wheels of justice turn quickly enough so the work needed gets done properly and before the frosty season sets in. If not, consequences will be ordered and applied to these slum landlords.

I wonder if Jack ever got the $1,675 the court ordered to be paid to him? Ruth Enns, Vancouver
