Vision Vancouver abuses

-

Re: Vision Vancouver ignores what people really want, Column, Sept. 29

I am grateful, as I am sure many other people are, that columnist Gordon Clark gives voice to our concerns about how Vision Vancouver is running the city.

Never before had I felt abuse of power by City Hall and its decisions on our neighbourhoods and simple daily life until Vision arrived. Daily, I feel their abuse, their ideology, their lack of consultation, their lack of desire to represent all Vancouverites in both my personal and business life.

We elect governments to do the people’s business. We do not elect them to treat the people like little children and to act like our parents — that they know better than us or that they can create a better life for us if only we behaved according to their rules. Unfortunately, this is how Vision governs. David Young, Vancouver
