Lions’ last game

-

It looked too easy — and it was. After jumping out to a 14-0 lead on a couple of bombs from quarterback Jonathon Jennings to receiver Manny Arceneaux, the Lions were overtaken by the more-engaged Edmonton Eskimos, who went on to post a 27-23 victory that tightened the West Division derby for second place. A late-game interception by Jennings proved costly, leading to an Eskimos field goal that forced a Hail Mary touchdown attempt in a desperate final play. The connection was found wanting, as was the Lions’ effort. Jennings’ record against the Eskimos dropped to 0-3 as the Lions fell to 8-4.
