REDBLACKS PLAYER TO WATCH
JASON LAUZON-SEGUIN
The Redblacks finished up their 29-12 win over the Toronto Argonauts last Saturday with an allCanadian corps protecting quarterback Trevor Harris after starting left tackle SirVincent Rogers went down with a knee injury. Winner of the CFL’s most outstanding lineman award in 2015, the loss of Rogers is a devastating blow. He underwent knee surgery Monday and could miss the rest of the season. In his place, the Redblacks are leaning toward rookie Jason Lauzon-Seguin — a firstround pick in 2016 (seventh overall) from Laval — or import Tommie Draheim, who started with the Lions in 2015. A BMX rider, skateboarder and snowboarder in his teen years, Lauzon-Seguin was a 17-year-old in junior college in Valleyfield, Que., when he played football for the first time. “Right away, I was bad at it. In time, I got better fast.” Ottawa hopes for the same this week.
