Protesters break into Muskrat Falls site

Nalcor Energy says around 50 protesters broke into the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric site in Labrador on Saturday. They were upset over Nalcor’s confirmation that methylmercury levels will rise in the reservoir created by construction of the project, raising health concerns. Protesters blocked access to the site over the week, despite a court injunction that led to nine arrests Monday.
