VICTORIA’S SECRET: Models reveal new bra collection, discuss life as a Dream Angel
So do Victoria’s Secret Angels actually have any secrets?
Come closer … we recently reached out to Angels Stella Maxwell and Romee Strijd as they helped at the sexy launch of the Dream Angels bra collection at the new Victoria’s Secret Fifth Avenue store in New York City. Victoria’s Secrets superstar Alessandra Ambrosio made a glamorous appearance recently in China, where the mighty VS brand established its super-sexy presence with its first two stores in Shanghai and Chengdu. Beautiful bras, panties and sleepwear fill a whole four floors at the Shanghai Lippo store — the largest in the world.
U.K. native Romee, 21 and Dutch beauty Stella, 26, and Brazilian beauty Alessandra, 36, are all super comfortable parading around in their undies and teeny bras, and they love the new sophisticated collection, available exclusively at Victoria’s Secret stores and victoriassecret.com
Romee and Stella got their Angel wings in 2015. Alessandra, a mom of two, has been modelling with VS since 2005 and is also an actress, including playing a Bond girl from Casino Royale. The trio have also appeared on runways for the biggest-name designers, likely wearing more than lingerie! Q: What’s it like being an angel? Romee: It’s a total dream come true. I have been obsessed with Victoria’s Secret since I was a teen. It’s a big family and that’s the way they also take care of us.
Stella: It’s the highlight of my entire career. I think I’m just blessed and really lucky to live my dream and that my job is my dream. No. 1 Angel rule? Romee: Be yourself, and be confident in being yourself. Feel good, feel sexy, have fun, work hard …. OK, that’s more than just one rule.
Stella: Duh, be an Angel!
How do you prepare for the runway?
Romee: Lots of water and a great face mask — it does wonders for the skin if you stay super hydrated.
Stella: I definitely try to do a lot of face masks, get a lot of facials and get a ton of sleep. I think sleep is the key to looking fresh and being ready for something like that, especially because you’re going to be on television.
Your bodies rock! How do you do it?
Romee: At the moment, it’s a combination of weight training and fitness along with healthy eating, lots of water and a good amount of sleep.
Stella: Hiking, yoga, working out with my trainer, doing some cardio — mixing it up keeps it fun and interesting. How do you de-stress? Romee: With a workout, a good brunch with friends or a massage!
Alessandra: I like to do meditation and yoga. What’s your favourite Dream Angels collection piece?
Romee: The Off-The-Shoulder Bralette — which I love to pair with denim, and the Lace-Up Bralette — which is sexy underneath an oversized T-shirt.
Stella: I’m obsessed with the Bralettes — they’re very wearable, cool, colourful and trendy. I like to mix them with my own clothing ... and it means we can add a new pop of colour back to our wardrobe.
