Boeser did not get additional B-bonuses in his contract, Benning said. The bonus structure for players on entry-level deals can get a little confusing. Most first-round picks get the maximum $850,000 allowed in schedule-A bonuses. The schedule-B bonuses involve NHL awards and where a player finishes in voting. There are two types in the B category. One type is automatic and paid by the league. The second type are negotiated and count against the cap. The maximum in additional B bonuses is $2 million and mostly only the top picks get it. Boeser did not.
