Beauty Bar: Vichy Idéalia collection

- Aleesha Harris

Vichy Idéalia Peeling collection.

What it is: A new skincare release from the Vichy Idéalia range that feature “new formulations with clinically proven natural actives to boost skin glow and correct first signs of aging.”

The products include antioxidant-rich ingredients, including blueberry extract and fermented black tea extract, as well as Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water to help smooth skin, refine pores and give skin a healthy glow.

“Idéalia skin care gives the perfect dose of nutrients needed by the skin to combat stress and increase glow until the evening,” according to a news release.

What we say: Our tester tried the Smoothness & Glow Energizing Cream and the Radiance Activating Night Peeling Care. Her opinion? In one word: fantastic.

The Peeling product is in a toner-like formula which is enriched with exfoliating ingredients such as glycolic acid to smooth skin and remove dead skin cells.

She followed the toner with a moisturizer, opting to put the “super-activated” energizing cream to the test. The creamy formula’s hypoallergenic scent of white flowers and tea added a nice aromatherapy element.

Our tester reported her face looked noticeably smoother and more “alive” after just one use. Even her pores appeared to be diminished. The only downside? She reported some slight redness after a few days of back-to-back use.

Where to get it: Shoppers Drug Mart, London Drugs.

What it will cost you: $37 to $49.95. Over time, even dark spots and acne marks are faded and wrinkles smoothed. The skin is like new.
