The Zolas, 54-40 and Dear Rouge are among the entertainment booked to perform on the Main Stage in Whistler Village Square for the fourth annual GO Fest, taking place the May long weekend. The event billed as “Whistler’s Great Outdoor Festival” includes everything from live music to the hard and not-so-hardcore outdoors activities.

All of the Main Stage headliners will take to the stage at 7:30 p.m. Music from well known locals such as Latin dance crew Mazacote kicks off every evening at 3 p.m.

Anyone familiar with Whistler knows that the shift from winter sports means getting the bike out or tightening up the hiking boots.

A production of the Resort Municipality of Whistler and funded through the Province of British Columbia’s Resort Municipality Initiative, the festival includes activities in Whistler Village as well as assorted outdoor area family-friendly events.

The very popular Alpine Dogs classes at Florence Peterson Park now include four sessions on Sunday, May 21. These by donation training sessions in everything from tricks to recall and agility are even fun if you don’t have a dog.

Whistler Mayor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden said in a release: “The Province of British Columbia’s Resort Municipality Initiative contributions to the Resort Municipality of Whistler have allowed us to help drive a wide range of programs to grow tourism. Live music in the spring and summer seasons has been an integral component of the activations we have undertaken to help us achieve record visitation year over year.”
