A great ship just got better. Ultra-luxury line Seabourn has completed an extensive refit of its 450-guest Seabourn Odyssey, adding among other things a brandnew dining venue and an all-new spa and wellness program.

Seabourn Odyssey now includes the Grill by Thomas Keller, an iconic American chophouse that features brand-new decor and an exclusive menu and wine list designed by Chef Keller. Located on Deck 8, it occupies the space that was formerly home to Restaurant 2 and brings Seabourn Odyssey in line with fleetmates Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Quest. Seabourn Sojourn, now commencing her first Alaska season from Vancouver, will receive the Grill by Thomas Keller later this fall.

Also new and noteworthy is a new spa and wellness program designed by Dr. Andrew Weil. This new program will feature both paid and complimentary wellness classes that are designed to enhance creativity, mental well-being and health.

Classes like mindful meditation and yoga will be conducted by Seabourn Odyssey’s own onboard mindful living coach — a certified yoga and meditation practitioner who is available to help guests tailor their experiences in the program.

“The additions of the Grill by Thomas Keller and Spa and Wellness with Dr. Andrew Weil continue a new chapter in Seabourn’s long history of offering the finest guest experiences in luxury travel,” said Seabourn president Richard Meadows, noting Seabourn Odyssey as the third of the cruise line’s four ships to offer the Grill and the second to feature Dr. Weil’s program. “Through our outstanding partnerships with Chef Keller and Dr. Weil, we are excited to expand these programs on Seabourn Odyssey, with a fleet-wide rollout scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.”

To top it all off, Seabourn Odyssey received a stem-to-stern sprucing up. Guests embarking the ship this summer will find a refreshed spa and brand new equipment in the ship’s onboard fitness centre.

On the accommodations front, all suites were given new carpeting, and Seabourn’s luxurious new mattresses were added. In the ship’s public areas, new furniture graces the Wintergarden, while new carpeting, soft furnishings, teak flooring and re-finished woodwork keep this eight-year-old luxury vessel looking superb.

You can find Seabourn Odyssey in the Mediterranean this summer, operating a variety of historic itineraries from some of the region’s best ports. In October, she sails for Miami, where she will spend the winter in the Caribbean.
