New mom needs a hand to get back in touch with her style

Lesley Santillan is a new mom and was in need of a style update.

After having her baby, Lesley was feeling out of touch with her style and was having trouble shopping for her body type. Her area of concern is the tummy. She struggles to find the right clothing to camouflage that area and tends to wear boxy and baggy tops, which make her look and feel frumpy. My goal was to pull together an outfit that is fun, versatile and functional, all while looking classic, polished and ladylike.

We started off by selecting these midrise, slim cut jeans. Lesley was in need of a great fitting pair of jeans that could be styled casually for every day, or dressed up for a night out.

To camouflage her midriff, I opted for this peplum cut sleeveless blouse, which floats away from the body and could be paired with a skirt or shorts for the summer. It also has a lovely drawstring, keyhole detail round the neck, which draws the attention up to her beautiful face.

To define her waistline and add a component of structure to the outfit, I chose this cream coloured blazer to elevate the look.

We had a little fun with her footwear and chose these lovely floral print sandals to add a pop of colour and personality to the ensemble. To tie the look together, we finished with a classic blush-pink shoulder bag, which doubles a clutch purse.

Each of these pieces work beautifully together, yet can easily be co-ordinated multiple ways with her existing wardrobe, and will stand the test of time.
