If you’re looking for a warm-weather voyage somewhere more exotic than the usual runs to the Caribbean, Paul Gauguin Cruises has just released its 2018 sailing schedule and brochure, outlining its 2018 voyages in Tahiti, French Polynesia and the South Pacific aboard its namesake vessel, the Paul Gauguin.

New for next year is the weeklong “Society Islands & Tahiti Iti” itinerary. This begins and ends in Papeete, Tahiti and visits Huahine, Society Islands; Motu Mahana (off the coast of Taha’a), Society Islands; Bora Bora, Society Islands (overnight); Moorea, Society Islands; and Vairao, Tahiti Iti. Paul Gauguin Cruises is the only cruise line that sails to the unspoiled paradise of Tahiti Iti, which offers rugged cliffs, postcard-perfect waterfalls, stunning beaches and the famous wave of Teahupo’o.

Paul Gauguin will also feature its usual roundup of voyages in the South Pacific, where the line makes its home year-round. Voyages for 2018 range from seven to 14 nights in duration, including the line’s popular weeklong “Tahiti & the Society Islands” itinerary; the 10-night “Society Islands & Tuamotus”; the 11-night “Cook Islands & Society Islands”; and the all-encompassing, 14-night “Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands.”

Additionally, Paul Gauguin Cruises’ partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society continues in 2018, with two interactive and educational programs designed to enrich the onboard experience.

During the summer and holiday seasons, a special Stewards of Nature program is offered to children ages seven to 17 and their families, providing the opportunity to discover more about the spectacular natural environment that exists in the South Pacific. The WSC also hosts the Wildlife Discovery Series, an onboard lecture program that is presented by some of the world’s foremost conservationists, scientists and oceanographers.

The Paul Gauguin was built specifically for the South Pacific. Launched in 1997, she has been lovingly upgraded and refurbished over the years and features a watersports marina, three dining venues, a large spa, and plenty of open deck space and bright, airy public rooms. She carries just 332 guests, tended to by an international crew of 217.

On all sailings, guests also receive complimentary access to Paul Gauguin Cruises’ exclusive retreats in Motu Mahana and Bora Bora. Relaxation is on the menu here, with floating bars, white sand beaches, barbecue feasts and even the opportunity to snorkel in the South Pacific’s legendary waters.
