Trio of incidents snag Sunday morning traffic

-

Sunday morning saw several incidents slowing traffic on Metro Vancouver’s roads.

Two accidents on Highway 1 and another on the Stanley Park Causeway caused delays for drivers beginning just before 9:30 a.m.

According to Drive B.C., an incident just before 9:30 a.m. at the westbound Kensington on-ramp on Highway 1 drew several fire trucks, police vehicles and an ambulance. For nearly an hour afterwards, the on-ramp was closed and westbound travellers faced long delays.

Not long after, a collision southbound on the Stanley Park Causeway led to a pair of cars being pulled over to the side near Lost Lagoon.

And, a collision at the south end of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge blocked the centre and right lanes for about an hour.

Drive B.C.’s cameras captured what appeared to a sports car sitting sideways across the road, with its back end touching the guardrail.
