Vans Cus­toms come to Canada

Cre­ate your own shoe and have it at your door in two to four weeks

Vans fans in Canada can now cus­tom­ize their kicks with the in­tro­duc­tions of Cus­toms.

Avail­able in all sizes, the Cus­toms op­tion al­lows shop­pers to cre­ate their own made-to-or­der Vans Clas­sic styles — in­clud­ing the Au­then­tic, Era, Old Skool, Clas­sic Slip-On and Sk8-Hi sil­hou­ettes — in more than 800 mil­lion vari­a­tions, ac­cord­ing to the brand.

Shop­pers can choose the style, colour and ma­te­rial of their shoes or even up­load their own orig­i­nal art­work for ap­pli­ca­tion on two sneaker styles: the Au­then­tic and the Clas­sic Slip-On.

The shoes take be­tween two and four weeks to be de­liv­ered and the fin­ished footwear comes com­plete with a Cus­toms-shoe dust­bag.

Henson re­turns as face of MAC Viva Glam

Ac­tress Taraji P. Henson is step­ping back into her role of spokeswoman for the MAC Viva Glam col­lec­tion.

For her lat­est turn, Henson helped the cos­met­ics com­pany cre­ate two new lip shades — a cop­pery brown lip­stick and a gold-pearl Lip­glass gloss — for the re­lease.

The Taraji P. Henson 2 Lip­glass re­tails for $19 each, while the frosted lip­stick re­tails for $21, with 100 per cent of the sale from each Viva Glam Lip­stick and Lip­glass go­ing to ben­e­fit the MAC Aids Fund.

To date, the cam­paign has raised more than $460 mil­lion for the cause, ac­cord­ing to a re­lease.

The MAC Viva Glam Taraji P. Henson col­lec­tion will be avail­able in stores and on­line at Mac­cos­met­ics. ca on Sept. 7.

Sau­cony gets stylish with new colour re­lease

Avid run­ners look­ing to step up their style game are in luck — Sau­cony launched a new col­lec­tion of colours for its pop­u­lar Free­dom ISO style.

The style, first launched in De­cem­ber 2016, was the brand’s first “per­for­mance run­ning shoe” to fea­ture a full-length Everun mid­sole.

“Find­ing a new way to lib­er­ate and ex­pand the run­ning ex­pe­ri­ence — free of bound­aries, full of free­dom — re­flects our re­lent­less com­mit­ment to both the run­ner and in­no­va­tion,” Tom Hartge, se­nior vice-pres­i­dent of global footwear for Sau­cony, said in a re­lease. “The Free­dom ISO sets the course for Sau­cony to cre­ate a whole new run­ning ex­pe­ri­ence that’s un­like any­thing be­fore.”

The Free­dom ISO colour-way in­cludes op­tions in bright pink, berry, blue, black-on-black and more. The re­lease is avail­able at sau­cony.ca.

Indigo fea­tures Jen­ner sis­ters ac­ces­sories line

Fans of the Jen­ner sis­ters can now pick up se­lect pieces from the duo’s ac­ces­sories line while they shop for their lat­est books — on­line, at least.

Cana­dian re­tailer Indigo re­cently an­nounced the on­line launch of the life­style brand KEN­DALL + KYLIE on Indigo.ca.

The cu­rated se­lec­tion of ac­ces­sories “re­flects the un­pre­dictable essence of to­day’s young fash­ion lover,” ac­cord­ing to a re­lease.

The se­lec­tion in­cludes hand­bags and small ac­ces­sories from the Fall 2017 col­lec­tion, priced from $68$398.

Si­mons sup­ports Dion’s de­signer am­bi­tions

In other hand­bag news, Si­mons has an­nounced it now car­ries the new hand­bag col­lec­tion from Cana­dian su­per­star Celine Dion.

Dion, who has been in the spot­light more than usual in re­cent months thanks to her fierce fash­ion sense and pres­ence at var­i­ous in­ter­na­tional Fash­ion Weeks, de­vel­oped the ac­ces­sories with The Bu­gatti Group of Mon­treal and first re­leased them to market ear­lier this year.

The col­lec­tion in­cludes leather totes, shoul­der bags and more.

Si­mons shop­pers will find 14 hand­bag styles from the Celine Dion col­lec­tion at all of its re­tail stores, in­clud­ing Park Royal in Van­cou­ver, as well as on­line at Si­mons. ca.

Hanes de­signer T-shirts pop up at Nord­strom

From vin­tage logo tees to crisp-and-clas­sic plain-white it­er­a­tions — T-shirts are hav­ing a big mo­ment in fash­ion.

Nord­strom is get­ting in on the style ac­tion with an ex­clu­sive col­lec­tion of T-shirts with Hanes fea­tur­ing de­signs by an assem­bly of al­most 40 brands, in­clud­ing A.L.C., Juicy Cou­ture, Warby Parker and more.

“Hanes is the ul­ti­mate T-shirt com­pany,” Olivia Kim, vice-pres­i­dent of Cre­ative Projects for Nord­strom, said in a re­lease.

“It’s been in­cred­i­ble to part­ner with them on an all-ex­clu­sive shop that el­e­vates the T-shirt as an icon, and lets us use their prod­uct as a way to ex­plore dif­fer­ent ex­pres­sions from a con­glom­er­ate of brands.”

The of­fer­ing of about 100 styles fea­ture op­tions for men, women and chil­dren, and are priced be­tween $40 and $215.

Van­cou­ver’s Pa­cific Cen­tre shop is one of eight Nord­strom lo­ca­tions of­fer­ing the T-shirts in its Pop-In@ Nord­strom depart­ment. The stylish creations are avail­able in stores, as well as on­line, at Nord­strom.com. Pop through Sept. 24.
