ARIES | (March 21-April 19)

This is a strong week because you have energy to work hard for yourself and others. However, you are so driven, be careful you aren’t too demanding of others by expecting them to work at your pace. Not everyone is a Superhero! The irony is, because the Sun is symbolically as far away from you as it gets all year, you actually need more sleep this month. On Thursday, the only Full Moon in your sign all year occurs, which means from about Tuesday onward, you might feel increased tension with partners and close friends. Consider this an opportunity to demonstrate grace under pressure.

TAURUS | (April 20-May 20)

While Venus and Mars energize others to work hard and perform favours and services for people, you just want to play! This week is about love affairs, romance, flirtations and chances to enjoy sports events, parties, the arts and movies. Your creative desires are aroused and you will attract chances to express your artistic talents. But you’re not just a pretty face this week. The placement of the Sun will drive you to be productive, efficient and effective in everything you do. Mercury will promote your ability to do mental work and also sit down with coworkers and employees to tackle problems.

GEMINI | (May 21-June 20)

You’re keen to redecorate and improve your home. Some of you might also explore real estate opportunities. Increased activity and chaos could create tension with family members. Remember, patience is the antidote to anger. It doesn’t remove the cause of anger, but patience certainly helps to calm everyone down. Furthermore, when you demonstrate patience, you don’t make things worse. And your reward, of course, is both the Sun and Mercury want you to play and party! Enjoy reading, writing, playing games requiring mental agility, which you will likely win because you are the wordsmith of the Zodiac. This week you’re prankish and playful!

CANCER | (June 21-July 22)

On Thursday, a Full Moon is at odds with your sign. From Tuesday onward, you might feel tension building up between you and others; or tension due to the demands of your job and career being at odds with the demands of your home and family. Meanwhile, Mars makes you verbally aggressive. Dangerous combo with the Full Moon! Fortunately, Venus will soften hasty words. This is a good thing because for the next few weeks, the planet Mercury (communication and ideas) will be in your fourth house of Home and Family, which means family discussions, especially about home repairs, will take place. However, it also means despite this emphasis on home and family, you will want to intellectually withdraw.

LEO | (July 23-Aug. 22)

Be mindful and pay attention to everything you say and do this week because the Full Moon Thursday (which will start to create some tension from Tuesday onward) could make you slightly accident-prone. It will encourage distractions, especially mental distractions, impulses and knee-jerk reactions. This is a busy, fast-paced time for you with short trips, increased reading and writing, plus lots of errands will put you to the test. Some of these errands will involve shopping because you want to buy beautiful things for yourself and loved ones right now. Don’t overextend yourself. Keep your receipts — and the box!

VIRGO | (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

With both Venus and Mars in your sign, you are energized, strong, focused, charming and diplomatic. Oh yes, everyone loves you! You will need these skills because the Full Moon Thursday could trigger arguments and disputes about money, cash flow and possessions. (Any time from Tuesday onward.) There could be a disagreement about loans or who owes what or who owns what. Loans are tricky. Actually, it’s better to give a friend the money — if they never pay it back there is no resentment. Whereas if you lend money to a friend and they don’t pay it back, not only do you lose the money, you lose your friend! Oy!

LIBRA | (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This continues to be a powerful time for you because not only is the Sun in your sign, but now puckish Mercury is as well. This means you are energetic and eager to talk! So far so good. But this week, the only Full Moon that opposes your sign all year is taking place. Oops! This will create some tension with partners and close friends. Yeah, you could hide in the bathroom or put slinkies on escalators, but you cannot escape this. You have to face it; and your best choice is to be patient. As the French say, “Patience might be bitter but its fruit is sweet.” (And they have a fattening crème Anglaise to go with it.)

SCORPIO | (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Don’t worry about the Full Moon this week because you have bigger fish to fry. Next week, lucky Jupiter enters your sign for the first time since 2006 — and this is fabulous news for Scorpios! I digress, but don’t miss next week’s column! This week you can focus on using Venus and Mars to your best advantage because they will affect how you relate to friends and members of groups. Mars makes you competitive, especially physically if you’re involved with sports or racing to the lunchroom. But Venus will encourage warm friendships, especially with artistic, creative types. Admittedly, the Full Moon this week could stir up some tension with coworkers — but hey, you can be big about this. Everything’s coming your way!

SAGITTARIUS | (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

The Full Moon this week might stir up some trouble in your relationships with friends and groups. And likewise, with your kids. Even romantic relationships will feel tension building up, especially from Tuesday onward. Just remember, after the Full Moon peaks Thursday, all these so-called problems will diminish or disappear. Instead — use the lineup of Venus and Mars to your advantage because they are sitting at the very top of your chart. Mars will ignite your ambition (as it has done so recently); and Venus will grease the wheels with bosses, parents and VIPs. Venus might even encourage a romance with someone in authority.

CAPRICORN | (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The Full Moon this week will affect you because it is at odds with Capricorn. This means you might find your dealings with parents and bosses more challenging. You might also feel caught in a tug of war between the demands of your job and your career versus the demands of home and family. You can’t keep everyone happy. Small wonder both Venus and Mars plant the seeds of escape within you, which is why you want to travel and get away from all this! Not only will they encourage travel, they will attract opportunities in medicine, the law, publishing and the media. Focus on these areas because you can win here.

AQUARIUS | (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Heads up, dear Aquarius, because this is a mildly accident-prone week for you due to the Full Moon that peaks Thursday. And yes, it will start “agitating” by Tuesday. This means you have to pay attention in everything you say and do so you won’t have any regrets later. Regrets are a bummer. Resist the impulse to snipe at someone or fire off a salvo to someone who clearly is out of touch with things. You might be provoked because disputes about inheritances, shared property, taxes, debt and insurance issues are likely. But Venus can ameliorate these differences. In fact, because of Venus, you might end up laughing all the way to the bank!

PISCES | (Feb. 19-March 20)

Something to do with financial matters will come to a head this week because of the Full Moon Thursday. This could be a dispute about shared property, taxes, debt, insurance issues or inheritances. Fortunately, next week, lucky, moneybags Jupiter enters Scorpio, your fellow Water Sign, and this bodes well for you! It does look like disputes would be resolved in your favour. It also looks like you have fabulous travel opportunities in the near future. Meanwhile, even though you are irritated with partners and close friends (Mars opposite your sign will do it every time) fair Venus will tend to temper your annoyances and make you appreciate your main squeeze. Your life is going to improve!
