A Tony and Grammy Award winner, a high-tech sleight of hand and a critically acclaimed Canadian musical are all featured in the 20th anniversary season of the popular Broadway Across Canada series.

Feel the Earth move under your feet as you take in the hits in Beautiful — The Carole King Musical (Nov. 13-18), a multiple award-winner jukebox based around the exceptional songwriting of hitmaker King.

Then there’s The Illusionists (Jan. 15-20, 2019). Billed as a “high-tech magic extravaganza, this showcase of leading illusionists in a fast-paced hit show.

The three-show season package concludes with a homegrown hit, Come From Away (March 5-10, 2019). The true story of the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed 7,000 stranded air travel passengers following the 9/11 attacks on the United States. Written by Tony nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year’s Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley.

An additional show for 2018/19 is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of the stage mega hit Les Misérables (July 10-15). As those familiar with his rejigged Phantom of the Opera are well aware, when Mackintosh bills something as a new version, it is. Other returning shows include the wildly popular The Book of Mormon (Sept. 25-30).

Six-time Tony Award-winner and 2018 Grammy nominee Dear Even Hansen will be part of the 2018/19 season. Subscribers will have first access to tickets for this show, which boasts an Original Broadway Cast Recording on Atlantic Records that entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 8.
