40th with a time of 23:15.0; Rosanna Crawford of Canmore, Alta., finished 53rd with a time of 23:29.2; Emma Lunder of Vernon, B.C. finished 54th with a time of 23:30.4; Megan Tandy of Prince George, B.C., finished 57th with a time of 23:42.8.

CURLING

MIXED DOUBLES — Kaitlyn Lawes of Winnipeg, and John Morris, Canmore, Alta., defeated Switzerlan­d 7-2 and defeated O.A. from Russia 8-2. Their record is 5-1 with one game left in the round robin, and they have clinched a berth in the semifinals.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

WOMEN’S SKIATHLON 7.5KM CLASSIC + 7.5KM FREE FINAL — Cendrine Browne of Saint-Jerome, Que., finished 33rd in 44:01.9; Emily Nishikawa of

Whitehorse, finished 44th in 45:16.6; AnneMarie Comeau of Saint-Ferreol-les-Neiges, Que., finished 48th in 45:42.8; and Dahria Beatty of Whitehorse, finished 52nd in 46:17.3.

LUGE

MEN’S — Sam Edney of Calgary sits fifth after two runs with a time of 1:35.617; Reid Watts of Whistler, B.C. sits 10th after two runs with a time of 1:35.855; Mitchel Malyk of Calgary sits 16th after two runs with a time of 1:36.125.

SHORT TRACK

MEN’S 1,500M — Samuel Girard of Ferland-et-Boilleau, Que. finished fourth with a time of 2:11.176; Charles Hamelin of Sainte-Julie, Que. was disqualifi­ed from the final; Pascal Dion of Montreal finished third in the B Final with a time of 2:26.412.

WOMEN’S 3,000M RELAY — Canada finished second in Heat 1 with a time of 4:07.627 and qualified for the finals. WOMEN’S 500M — Kim Boutin of Sherbrooke, Que., finished first in Heat 1 with a time of 43:634; Marianne St-Gelais of St-Felicien, Que., finished first in Heat 7 with a time of 43.437;

Jamie MacDonald was disqualifi­ed from Heat 6. Boutin and St-Gelais advanced to the quarterfin­als.

MEN’S INDIVIDUAL NORMAL HILL — Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes of Calgary finished 26th with a score of 208.1.

MEN’S SLOPESTYLE — Max Parrot of Bromont, Que. (86.00) won silver; Marc McMorris of Regina (85.20) won bronze; Tyler Nicholson of North Bay, Ont. (76.41, 7th); and Sebastien Toutant of L’Assomption, Que.
