Models raise concern over invasive photographers

-

Cindy Crawford and Taylor Hill are concerned that models don’t have enough privacy backstage at fashion shows.

The 52-year-old fashion legend took on the role as interviewer in a chat with the Victoria’s Secret Angel for American InStyle, in which the pair discussed the treatment of fellow models today.

During New York Fashion Week in February, models were offered private changing rooms for the first time, and both Crawford and Hill hope this initiative will continue to protect girls from having intimate pictures taken without their knowledge.

“Well, the problem now is everyone has cellphones,” Crawford said. “There’s not a corner where someone can’t snap a picture, you know?”

Added Hill, “There’s not a place for the girls to change in private away from the press and photographers. There are girls who are 16 years old ... changing in an open space, I was always so afraid of that happening to me, because once that happens, it’s out there.”

Hill, 22, has taken to the catwalk for brands such as Versace, Anna Sui and Bottega Veneta, though admitted she initially turned down the agency that scouted her as she “was so nerdy, tall, and skinny and felt so awkward.”
