Speeding, guns both kill

-

In terms of potential to injure or kill someone, what’s the difference between firing an automatic weapon in a manner that may endanger the public and driving a car 100 km/h over the speed limit? None.

But the shooter goes to jail. The speeder gets a fine and a week without his parent’s car. The punishment should fit the crime. The vehicle should be confiscated for good and the driver should lose his N licence for a year, and also be identified publicly.

By the way, why do they sell vehicles that are capable of going that fast? It’s never legal, it’s never necessary and it’s never safe.
