Three other shows to see at rEvolver Theatre Festival

1 — Kitt & Jane: An Interactive Survival Guide to the Near-PostApocalyptic Future: Without doubt, one of the better titles to a work in a long time. Two grade-eight students hijack their school assembly to deliver the message that it’s all coming to an end and they are there to train their classmates in the art of survival. Giant-scale shadow puppetry, physical comedy and the apocalypse. What a winning combination right?

2 — The Somewhere Cedar: This free show is billed as suitable for all-ages and comes from the Only Animal and rEvolver to tell a tale of environmental issues. A teen fights to stop the oldest known Western Red Cedar in the province from being logged. A 15 minute-long foray into the growing reality of how humankind is wiping out the planet’s biodiversity.

3 — The Only Good Indian: Pandemic Theatre presents this award-winning work delves into the mindset of a radical suicide bomber. The 30 — 40 minutelong presentation includes guided questions and a script which challenges both the actor and the audience. Jessie Awardwinner Adele Noronha will take the lead role in this version which is followed by a long table discussion to engage the crowd in considering how big the subject matter truly is.
