Quails’ Gate 2017 Rosé, B.C. ($16.99, #170316)

-

This has become a perennial go-to pink pick. Quails’ Gate’s rosé hits at all the right notes: it’s easy to appreciate thanks to engaging floral and berry aromas, it’s easy to enjoy given its juicy entry and fresh but smooth (off-dry) stance, and it’s easy to open thanks to its decent price tag. For 2017 the QG rosé is a salmonhued blend of Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris that calls out to be partnered with bold, perhaps even spicy meals — for example halibut fish tacos or Thai curry.

Bottom line: B+, Foodready rosé
