Take your cue from the stars for some decorating inspir— no, not the Hollywood celebrity type, but the zodiac.

If you’re feeling blah and boring and in need of a refresh, forgo Pinterest and design for your zodiac sign.

Renowned New York astrologer Rebecca Gordon says each sign thrives in a different environment — something to consider in your fall redo.

Decor aficionado Denise Hayward says if your home feels unbalanced, cluttered or just off, it could be that your interior conflicts with your astrological sign. Our perfect space is an extension of us, so welcome your horoscope.

“Whether it’s introducing more plants, art or finding the right colour palette, aligning your space with you will guarantee you fall in love with your home,” says Hayward, manager of Home Fest Show, which runs Nov. 2-4 at the International Centre in Mississauga.

Your home should be a reflection of what you value and what’s in your soul, Gordon says, and a reminder of the shining parts of your personality.

“Aligning your home decor with your sun sign will make you feel more alive, energized and more confident,” Gordon says.

Aries (March 21-April 19):

You’re fiery, active and

all about a no-fuss lifestyle. Think clean open rooms, perhaps with pops of the colour red throughout to evoke a sense of power to keep your energy flowing, Gordon recommends. Go for sundrenched open spaces with light-coloured woods — it’s all about modern and minimal!

Taurus (April 20-May 20):

An earth sign, you crave earthy textures like wood and stone. Lots of flowers will make you happy, Gordon says, so too decorating in earth tones like greens, blues and browns. Comfort is key here, so consider investing in a to-die-for comfy couch that you can just sink into. Bring

on the throws and pillows.

Gemini (May 21-June 20):

You love to communicate through decor like furniture and artwork. Best to move things around too — assign paintings and furniture a new space every now and then. Be in harmony by mixing and meshing different styles and

prints, and keeping things eclectic, youthful and fun, Gordon suggests.

Cancer (June 21-July 22):

Home needs to feel like a cosy, safe retreat. Surround yourself in soft fabrics like warm woolly throws and lots of plush pillows, Gordon says. Brush up on warm whites, creams and silver. You’re a water sign, so incorporate a fountain indoors, along with candles, furry rugs, distressed woods, silver accents and bouquets of white flowers.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22):

Logical and governed by routine, your home needs to run efficiently. Things have to be functional and practical. Forget working at the kitchen table — instead, create a dedicated workspace. No clutter. Lots of shelves. Gordon also recommends a quiet colour palette — earth tones and classic white and creams.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22):

Libras, you are the sign of balance, so your space should reflect beauty, softness and grace. Go for pastel shades for a sense of peace and calm, Gordon says, and light up with lots of candles and elaborate art. You’re big on beautiful dishware, china and glassware — be sure to showcase these uniquely designed objects.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21):

You’re intense and feel everything deeply, so home needs to be a place to tune out all the noise, a place that feels like your own secret cave. Paint your domain in dark colours like burgundy and deep blues while adding interesting fixtures to really pop against the dark background, Gordon says. Create little areas that foster a sense of intimacy with velvety couches and a romantic loveseat.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21):

Known for being a world traveller, you’re a collector of interesting pieces that have meaning. Home feels like you’re entering a museum done in a vast colour palette, including deep purples and blues as well as a mix of warm tones. A rich boho feel comes across.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20):

You’re big on the outdoors so create a place where you feel wrapped in a cocoon. Go for soothing colours that mimic the beach, Gordon says, and extra tranquillity with pictures of loved ones and photography, along with soft pillows and a big comfy couch.
