Stop paying for Clarkson
To read about the non-transparent expenses that former governor general Adrienne Clarkson is claiming is ridiculous. Claiming more than $200,000 in expenses in a year is inexcusable.
An ex-governor general is just that — an ex-employee. We don’t need to cover her expenses for travel, speeches or letter writing. Sure, we could provide a small pension for these people, but to allow them to claim expenses like this is a travesty. The federal government should stop to this. Tom Duncan, Chilliwack
