Shark used for makeshift bong

-

Pot smokers can just about use anything to make a bong.

Including baby sharks, apparently.

A video posted to the Fried Fishing Facebook group shows an unnamed fisherman smoking what appears to be pot from a bong made with a dead shark.

It’s believed the viral video was taken near Sydney, Australia. The footage drew the ire of the internet, with many condemning the act.

“All living creatures have a right to exist, what you did was f------ disgraceful. I feel sorry for your family and friends being associated with you,” said one angry critic.

“Humans need to do better than this. Sharks are not trophies, toys or bongs. I can’t believe this is even real,” wrote another.

Not everyone was against the video. One fan showed his solidarity by sharing a video of himself using a fish as a bong.

However, the video’s controversy prompted the moderator of the Fried Fishing Facebook page to issue a statement.

“Let’s clear some air up on this. The shark was caught by my mate fishing when we were fishing for mangrove jacks on Friday,” read the statement. “After two nights in the ice box I came up with the idea. There is no possible way it was alive.

“It was tobacco. I’d happily take a drug test to prove … I just wanted to say thanks to the bunch of sooks who have complained to the point of police visiting. Honestly I quit.”

The video was later deleted from the Facebook group.
