Charlotte Tilbury: Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir

What it is: A face serum from Charlotte Tilbury Beauty (the first for the brand) that features skin-benefiting ingredients such as vitamin C, polyglutamic acid, a crystal complex and Tilbury Magic 8 complex.

In 2013, the British beauty guru released her first skincare product, the now cult-classic Charlotte’s Magic Cream. This new “groundbreaking” serum is designed to complement that product offering.

“The supercharged, crystal-infused formula has been designed with expert scientists and globally renowned facialists to address the most universal skin concerns and deliver clinically tested, visible results,” the brand stated in a news release.

The “supercharged” serum is billed as being suitable for all skin types.

What we say: This lightweight serum leaves skin looking and feeling more smooth. It has a subtle, natural scent.

Our tester applied a few drops to the palm of the hand and then patted the product into freshly cleansed and toned skin. Aiming to make the at-home skin-care experience a bit elevated, she smoothed the product into skin using a rose quartz gua sha facial-massaging stone. (At a time when we’re unable to book in for a facial, adding these small routines into one’s skin-care experience can be a treat.)

After just one use, skin looked more hydrated, firm and toned. Our tester, who battles oversized pores, was impressed by how the product seemed to minimize their appearance.
