Pair arrested for rash of Harley-Davidson thefts
Two people have been arrested in connection with a rash of Harley-Davidson motorcycle thefts. Niagara Regional Police reported that since June, Niagara Falls has been the target of about 11 thefts, as well as attempted thefts, specifically of Harley-Davidson brand motorcycles. Their investigation identified a male suspect along with addresses and other persons involved in the crimes. On Friday, Niagara Falls street crime unit detectives executed five search warrants that included addresses in Burlington and Hamilton. Two Harley-Davidson motorcycles were recovered in addition to other evidence that assisted police with their investigation. Jason Lusted, 45, of Barrie, is charged with six counts of theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 as well as charges of break and enter with intent, possession of break-in instruments and mischief under $5,000. Also charged is Rudolph Tadam, 50, of Hamilton. Tadam faces six counts of theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 along with break and enter with intent, possession of break-in instruments and possession of property under $5,000.
