Name that room at Maple Acre library
Town council suggested Pelham Public Library explore additional naming possibilities when it received a request Tuesday. Mary Lamb of Pelham Historical Society recommended to the library board naming the original Maple Acre section “The Paterson Room” in honour of Clyndena Paterson. Her $400 bequest and collection of books led to the creation of the Maple Acre library in 1920. Town councillors said the library board should form a committee to look at possible dedications in honour of other contributors for various parts of the library branch.
