Affleck, Garner reported to be calling off divorce

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have reportedly decided to call off their divorce.

The pair, who are parents to Violet, 11, Seraphina, eight, and fiveyear-old Samuel, announced their split in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage. Since their breakup, Garner and Affleck have been seen together on numerous occasions, frequently going out with their kids or even just the two of them.

Now sources close to the pair have told People magazine that they have decided to put a hold on the legal divorce proceedings, instead giving their relationship another shot.

“Jen has called off the divorce,” an insider close to the actress told the publication. “She really wants to work things out with Ben. They are giving things another try.”

But another source insisted it was a mutual decision to try again with the marriage, adding: “There is always a chance of reconciliation. They love each other. They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents.”

Garner and Affleck have remained on amicable terms since their breakup, with the Argo star saying back in October that he admired his estranged wife’s ability to balance her personal and professional lives.

Referring to Garner’s appearance at a rally where she was supporting U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Affleck told U.S. news outlet Extra: “She’s in Reno. Doing what she believes in. Which is great. (I) think it’s awesome. And I’m so impressed by it — her and everything she does. She’s a great mom and that’s how it is.”

His comments came after Garner said during an interview with U.S. TV show Today back in August that she and Affleck had managed to evolve their relationship, and are “great friends.”

“We are definitely a modern family. We’re doing really well,” she said. “Ben was working in London on Justice League and I felt like, ‘Well the kids should have that experience’, and he and I are great friends and we just all went en masse... I want them to see everything’s OK.” The Associated Press
