Casino Niagara has started the next phase of a $7-million investment it says will “deliver an elevated” gaming and entertainment experience for all visitors.
The current phase of the project focuses on a transformation of the second level into a destination for sports fans, foodies, entertainment seekers and visitors.
Completion is scheduled for this fall.
The project includes a $3.5-million investment in infrastructure and redesign for a fresh entertainment experience that greets visitors as they walk through the doors.
An additional $3.5 million is being invested in technology and gaming, to offer guests the next generation of gaming.
This new investment is in addition to recently completed projects on the Market Buffet, gaming floor, Players Advantage Club booth, new slot products and renovations to the conservatory.
“We are tremendously proud of Casino Niagara’s 20-year legacy in Niagara Falls and our continued promise to be a premier gaming destination,” said Niagara Casinos president Richard Taylor.
“This investment demonstrates a commitment to always give our visitors access to the best in entertainment, dining and gaming.”
Taylor initially announced the $7-million investment in December when Casino Niagara celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The newly designed sports bar will feature 275 seats, a 123-inch high-definition video screen, multiple new HD TVs and a “winning ” menu.
New gaming technology will include 250 slots and a new interactive gaming zone with Golden Tees, PlayStation 4 and Xbox consoles, and immersive skill-based gaming.
There will be a new poker room in a redesigned space including more than 20 gaming tables and a new elevated lounge experience.
To allow for the project, Level 2 of the casino was temporarily closed Monday.
During the closure, Casino Niagara will remain open. Visitors will still be able to access the casino through the Falls Avenue entrance and travel to Level 3 via designated routes.
Lucky’s Steakhouse, Quench Bar and the sports section will be closed, although Quench’s breakfast menu will be available at the Market Buffet from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
During construction, staff will be reassigned to other locations within the facilities in time for the summer season.
Taylor said Niagara Casinos has “continuously” been making improvements at Casino Niagara, which opened in 1996.
The property has undergone several upgrades including a $12-million renovation in 2005, and a $31-million capital investment during the past five years.
“Now is the right time to continue to do this as it will help us lead Casino Niagara into the future with new gaming technology, new dining experiences and an enhanced customer experience,” said Taylor.
He said the new investment in renovations and improvements is part of Casino Niagara’s plan to attract loyal and new guests and keep business strong.
“By making these investments we are able to ensure that we continue to offer a world-class experience to our guests.”
Since opening, Casino Niagara has welcomed more than 95 million visitors and continues to draw more than two million guests per year.
Casino Niagara and Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort combined have welcomed more than 180 million visitors. In 2016, the two properties welcomed more than nine million visitors and expect this to continue in 2017.
