Vineland festivals showcase fall

Thanksgiving weekend will be filled with fun fall activities in Vineland.

The 43rd annual Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival starts Friday morning at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area.

Thanksgiving ARTfest starts Saturday, at Twenty Valley Public School in Vineland.

ARTfest will feature about 130 exhibitors, including fine art. The free festival runs Saturday to Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days.

The four-day festival at Ball’s Falls will include more than 160 different artisans and vendors. There will be candles, ceramics, clothing a much more available for people to purchase.

While browsing and shopping, Ball’s Falls eventgoers can enjoy live entertainment daily from noon to 4 p.m., presented by Giant FM and Country 89.

Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority has partnered with Bench Brewing, Tawse, Silversmith and Flat Rock. Adam Christie, manager of strategic initiatives and capital sssets with NPCA, said the partnership is a good opportunity to expose Ball’s Falls visitors to local brewers and wineries. There will also be a number of food trucks offering up delicious grub during the festival.

Eventgoers will also have the opportunity to enjoy heritage demonstrations, nature walks and children’s activities, including inflatables.

The festival is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $6. Friday tickets for seniors are $4. Children under 14 can attended the event for free with an adult.
