Vineland festivals showcase fall

Thanksgivi­ng weekend will be filled with fun fall activities in Vineland.

The 43rd annual Ball’s Falls Thanksgivi­ng Festival starts Friday morning at Ball’s Falls Conservati­on Area.

Thanksgivi­ng ARTfest starts Saturday, at Twenty Valley Public School in Vineland.

ARTfest will feature about 130 exhibitors, including fine art. The free festival runs Saturday to Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days.

The four-day festival at Ball’s Falls will include more than 160 different artisans and vendors. There will be candles, ceramics, clothing a much more available for people to purchase.

While browsing and shopping, Ball’s Falls eventgoers can enjoy live entertainm­ent daily from noon to 4 p.m., presented by Giant FM and Country 89.

Niagara Peninsula Conservati­on Authority has partnered with Bench Brewing, Tawse, Silversmit­h and Flat Rock. Adam Christie, manager of strategic initiative­s and capital sssets with NPCA, said the partnershi­p is a good opportunit­y to expose Ball’s Falls visitors to local brewers and wineries. There will also be a number of food trucks offering up delicious grub during the festival.

Eventgoers will also have the opportunit­y to enjoy heritage demonstrat­ions, nature walks and children’s activities, including inflatable­s.

The festival is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $6. Friday tickets for seniors are $4. Children under 14 can attended the event for free with an adult.

NPCA asks people not to bring their pets with them.
