Older adults forum set for Nov. 22

-

Older adults are being invited to bring their questions and feedback about

St. Catharines’ services to a forum this month.

The third annual Older Adults Forum takes place Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 9:30 a.m. at Dunlop Drive Older Adults Centre.

The forum with Mayor Walter Sendzik is a free, interactive session for older residents to share their thoughts and ask questions about the city’s programs and services.

Following the discussion residents can meet with service providers and agencies as well.

Some city councillors and staff will be in attendance and will report back to council on the ideas and opportunities that come out of the forum.

The city said previous forums have led to program and service improvements, including the return of summer concerts in the park, charges to St. Catharines Transit and papa transit services and additional activities at the older adult centres.

Residents do not have to be members of any older adults centres to attend and participate in the forum.

The city would like people to RSVP to mayor@stcatharines.ca or call 905688-5601 ext. 1540.

The Dunlop Older Adults Centre is at 80 Dunlop Dr. and is accessible from St. Catharines Transit route No. 307, Niagara Street.
