Niagara Falls rocker Rob Graham has felt like an honorary Trailer Park Boy for years.

Next week, he brings one of the family to St. Catharines.

As part of the “Fine Art of Falling Down Drunk Tour,” Leigh MacInnes will join Graham and several other musicians and comedians for a six-date tour which begins Thursday at the Detour Music Hall on St. Paul Street. MacInnes, who played the dual roles of Don and Donna for 19 episodes of the cult Canadian show, will be the host of an unruly, adult-oriented night, says Graham.

“Oh, there should be some shenanigans,” he says. “Leigh tends to talk just as his character from the show, which is hilarious. People love it.”

In addition to Graham, whose band has been nominated multiple times at the Niagara Music Awards, the show’s stacked lineup includes the Jay Diem Band, Fox Chamberland, David Green, Wally Warwick and Nick Burden. After St. Catharines the show goes to Sarnia Friday, Brantford Saturday, Toronto May 17, Tillsonburg May 18 and Ottawa May 19.

Along with Trailer Park Boys, MacInnes hosts his own documentary Trippin’ With Leigh, in which he travels the world sampling hallucinogens for their medical benefits. He first crossed paths with Graham when the singer met the Trailer Park Boys in 2013 while temporarily working in New Brunswick.

“I asked them if there was anything they could do to help me career-wise, and they put me in contact with Leigh,” recalls Graham. “We got together … it was actually the day I asked my wife to marry me. I asked her in Sunnyvale Trailer Park, in Ricky’s driveway.”

Leigh and Graham combined their talents for a couple of small Ontario tours, and even with a few hiccups, they formed a strong bond.

“He’s just been a great friend throughout the whole thing, and a great mentor. And an overall nice guy.”

After working with different promoters the first two tours — with problems arising — Graham took the reins himself this time.

“We decided this time, my wife and I were going to open our own company (Beats Me Entertainment). We registered it as a business and decided we’re going to handle it all ourselves. It’s worked out fantastic.”
