College hosting open house on Saturday

-

Niagara College wants prospective students to learn more about what it has to offer.

On Saturday the college will swing open its doors to the public for its fall open house, to take place at both its Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The event offers the public a look at the college’s programs, facilities and services, and provides potential students with information and opportunities to speak to faculty, staff and current students.

“There’s no better time than the Open House to explore your future at Niagara College,” says college president Dan Patterson.

Visitors can register for a chance to win a $2,000 credit toward their tuition in September 2019, January 2020 or May 2020.

The central hub for the event will be the Academic Marketplace where visitors can explore the variety of program offerings — for both full- and part-time studies — available at each campus, and depart for lab tours specific to their program areas of interest.

There will be information sessions for parents on how they can support their children as they pursue a post-secondary education, plus a discussion on financial resources available to students, as well as one on the college co-op experience.

Free parking will be available at both campuses.
