Newcomers accounted for all of the Hamilton Kilty B’s offence Monday night when they came back to edge the Buffalo Regals in overtime.

Eli Rivers, who started the 2019-20 Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League season with Buffalo, paced the B’s in points in the 4-3 victory with two goals and an assist.

Former Regal Nolan Slachetka and one-time Welland Jr. Canadian Matt Baumann also found the back of the net for Hamilton (22-13-2-1).

Baumann scored the gamewinner 3:28 into the first OT with the B’s on the power play.

Replying for Buffalo (7-262-3) were Brendan Krawczyk, with two, and Hunter Litman.

Justin Easter earned the win in the net for Hamilton. Kyle Karoleski was tagged with the loss.

The B’s outshot their visitors 46-33 and finished the Jr. B game at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena 3-for-6 on the power play. The Regals went 1-for-3 with a man advantage.

Buffalo lost its eighth in a row, while Hamilton returned to the win column after a pair of losses.
