RYAN, Vivian

-

Passed away peacefully at Monarch Memory Care on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the age of 82. Dearly missed by her husband of 60 years, William "Bill" Ryan, and her loving children; Michael, Maryann (Jim Frank), Jason (Blair and her daughter Harper). Vivian is reunited with all her loved ones that have passed before her and survived by all her extended family. Vivian immigrated to Canada with her family from Malta in 1950, and was extremely proud of her heritage. She took pride in being a Homemaker and raising her children. In 1982, Vivian graduated from the Niagara College Health Care Aide Program and continued her career for 19 years at Sunset Haven. Vivian went above and beyond for her residents and provided so much love and compassion. In her spare time, some of her hobbies included making bird houses, gardening her vegetables and flowers, playing the harmonica or bike riding. One of her most proud moments was writing her own book titled "My Story" which her son Jason helped her type. Her daughter, Maryann devoted four years after Vivian was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia to provide personal care, adventures, love and respect. Vivian was often described as "the life of the party" and will be remembered as a loving, caring, and giving woman who loved to dance to any music. She loved to make people happy and will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her. The family would like to send many thanks and love to the extraordinary nurses and staff at Monarch Memory Care. Vivian became a family member to all the staff. The exceptional care and love of our mother will never be forgotten. Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) has been entrusted with arrangements. As per Vivian's wishes, a cremation has taken place, and a private family mass will take place when it's safe to proceed. The family requests for you to share a dance with your loved ones in her memory. Donations will be accepted at Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133) for the purchase of a Memorial Tree to be placed in Niagara Parks, and a resident bench at Monarch Memory Care.
