COMEDIAN HART’S INCOME IS NO JOKE

-

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has dethroned Jerry Seinfeld on the Forbes magazine list of highest-earning comedians.

Seinfeld has topped the list since 2006, with combined pre-tax earnings over the past 10 years of more than $900 million. (All figures in U.S. dollars.)

But between June 2015 and June 2016, Hart made $87.5 million — over $30 million more than Seinfeld’s $43.5 million.

That also earned Hart sixth place on the Celebrity 100, FORBES’ annual list of celebrity money-makers.

Combined, the world’s 10 highest-paid comedians made $233.5 million over that 2015-16 period, before taxes and management fees.

Amy Schumer, in fourth place with $17 million, was the only female comic on the list.

Canadian comic Russell Peters made $9 million.
